005. Rub a Dub Dub Apparently -- Video

[The device clicks on and reveals a dripping wet and more than slightly annoyed Stiles Stilinski standing in the middle of his bathroom, fully clothed. There are suds all over his shirt, and in his hair.]

So, there's a very clear reason for that saying be careful what you wish for, apparently. Except I haven't made any wishes and somehow I ended up fully clothed and in a bubble bath with a rubber duck.

[He holds the rubber duck up as evidence and shakes his head a little. It's annoying, but he knows it could've been a lot worse. Still. He'd been in the middle of working on his database. It's the second time in twenty-four hours that he's had something really weird happened. The first being when Needy had teleported into his room and scared the crap out of him.]

So okay not a huge deal but please don't do it again. [Whoever did it. Because no.]

[Scott is still in his bathtub, fully clothed. He's holding up an identical rubber duck.]

Dude, I'm glad it's not just me.

[But he's not entirely annoyed, bubble baths are fun. u_u]

[He blinks a couple of times, arching his eyebrows. Now he's just confused.]

Why would someone wish people into bubble baths? [He shakes his head a little. He's not surprised Scott isn't really very annoyed by it. Scott doesn't get annoyed by much, really.]

[Lydia just stares at Stiles. She's seen Scott too, and she has some idea about how it happened.]

That... might have been me. [All she can do is whisper, so she really hopes he heard her. Her throat was getting tired from whispering already.]

I dunno. I mean, they probably didn't. Isn't that what's going on?

[He squeezes the rubber duck idly, glancing at it when it squeaks. Okay, is this being silly? This might be silly. He tosses it aside and pulls himself up with minimal slipping and maximum dripping.]

[Okay he didn't see that coming. Also he frowns at her whispering.]

What makes you think it was you? And why are you whispering?

Maybe they didn't specifically wish for people to end up in bubble baths with rubber ducks, but someone made some kind of wish that resulted in this.

[He motions to the dripping wet shirt but he can't help but smirk when Scott's duck squeaks. Really, dude?]

[She winces, even though she's kind of staring because-- his wet shirt is really clingy and are those muscles under there? She knew his werewolf counterpart definitely had them but...

I might have made more than one wish. Accidentally.

[He pauses at that, blinking a couple of times.]

Oh. [That's -- that's actually pretty nice. And at least he knows how it happened now. And that it probably won't happen again. He relaxes a little but arches an eyebrow at that admission.]

[She purses her lips together and arches her eyebrows. It's kind of personal but...]

[Somehow knowing it's Lydia who nearly drowned him in a tub of bubble bath makes the whole scenario easier to let go of. He pauses at her next words and then switches the video feed to private. He's not surprised that she wished for that in the least.]

[Now that's she's stopped randomly teleporting back to her room and just has a ton of food materialising in her pockets, Helena's happier. Her sense of humour's coming back.] But the duck is sweet.

[He grimaces at that, reaching out and grabbing a towel off the sink and passing it over his head to at least swipe off the bubbles in his hair.]

[Despite his grumpy mood, a smile tugs at his lips involuntarily at Helena.]

You want it? [It's a sincere offer, Helena. You can have the rubber duck if you'd like it.]

Yes. [He answers immediately.] Yes it was definitely necessary.

[...traitor. Except Stiles' mouth tugs upwards just a bit at Bucky's laughter. Yeah yeah. Laugh it up.]

[Lydia shakes her head even as she watches him dry himself. It's really hard to ignore the mental images she got from her mirror self when she's seeing him like this, so she looks away. Mostly because the last thing she needs is to make him uncomfortable.]

[He doesn't think anything about drying off while he's talking to her because he's fully clothed and...he's dried off in front of her before.]

[Normally it wouldn't be an issue. Hell, normally nudity isn't an issue. But when she's trying really hard not to think of him that way, then it becomes an issue.]

It doesn't hurt, it's just tiring. But I'm okay for now.
