005. Rub a Dub Dub Apparently -- Video

[The device clicks on and reveals a dripping wet and more than slightly annoyed Stiles Stilinski standing in the middle of his bathroom, fully clothed. There are suds all over his shirt, and in his hair.]

So, there's a very clear reason for that saying be careful what you wish for, apparently. Except I haven't made any wishes and somehow I ended up fully clothed and in a bubble bath with a rubber duck.

[He holds the rubber duck up as evidence and shakes his head a little. It's annoying, but he knows it could've been a lot worse. Still. He'd been in the middle of working on his database. It's the second time in twenty-four hours that he's had something really weird happened. The first being when Needy had teleported into his room and scared the crap out of him.]

So okay not a huge deal but please don't do it again. [Whoever did it. Because no.]

Of course there would have to be drawbacks to teleporting. There goes my childhood fantasy.

Gasp. How can you say that? Who wouldn't want to teleport anywhere their heart desired with no consequences!?

Teleporting isn't even one of my usual powers, and I'm already sick of it. Wouldn't flying be much cooler anyway?

Okay point. Flying would be cooler than teleporting.

I wish this stupid fucking ship hadn't taken my powers away. Then I could levitate and show you. It's not the same as flying, but it's pretty damn close.

Maybe you'll get them back at some point. [He's not really sure, but he knows that Morgana has her magic here and that she's an inmate.] But for the record, I believe you.

Who knows. [She's not holding her breath, though. A lot of her life got messed up and then it just kept getting worse and worse.] I'm glad that you believe me, though. I'm not so used to that anymore.

We can hope. [That, however, doesn't surprise him to hear. That she isn't used to people believing her about these things.]

Yeah, well. I get that. I mean, when I told my dad that werewolves were a real thing? He thought I was a lying liar who lies. [And okay, he has lied a lot to his dad over the years but they were mostly for good reasons.] Or that I was crazy. Probably both, actually.

When I tried to warn people about Jennifer at first, nobody believed me. They thought I was making shit up, or that I was going all unhinged like a rusty door because I was there the night it all began, when there was a big fire and lots of people died.

Then after I killed her, at least no one thought I was lying anymore. Just that I was psychotic.

Yeah that sounds pretty par for the course when you're dealing with supernatural stuff. Most people think it's all crap.

I kinda...think that might be worse.

People thinking you're insane instead of just being a liar? I dunno. In my experience, they're about as equally frustrating.

Neither one's really appealing, no. But hey, I don't think you're either.

I like that you don't think that. [Blunt, but true.] If there's one thing I really like about this place so far, it's that most of the people here don't think that.

[He grins a little at that, nodding.]

Well, it'd be kind of messed up if they did, you know? I mean we're on board an inter-dimensional time traveling ship floating through space. Nothing seems too out there after that.

True. In a way, it means I get to be ahead of the curve. Coming here already believing in weird shit. Gives me a leg up on everyone else who doesn't.

[Considering what she went through back home, it doesn't seem like a great trade off to him, but he nods anyway.]

[She knows exactly what he's talking about - but she's reached the point where she has to laugh about it.]

I mean, come on. Can you imagine my face if I came here from just another boring small town where nothing ever happened, and then I saw the aliens here and that one...glowing dude?

[He can't help but smile a little at her words because she definitely has a point.]

Yeah I guess that would be a pretty big culture shock, wouldn't it?

Yeah. I kind of feel sorry for the guys and gals that got it that way. There have to be some here that do, right?
