14. A warning to the people/The good and the evil/This is war.

For those of you who don't know, there's a vampire on the Barge named Jerry. He hasn't been here long and he's not a very nice guy. Mountain ash can trap him someplace, or keep him out of a place. It acts like a supernatural barrier. I've asked the Admiral for more. I have some already, but not enough for everyone.

[His jaw tightens a little. His face is just a slight shade paler than usual, but if you haven't really paid attention to that sort of thing -- you're not likely to notice.]

Someone with a shitload of super powers should probably go let him out of the laundry room. But be careful. He's probably really pissed off about now.

[He looks like he wants to say something else, but he doesn't. He just disconnects the feed.]

Obviously you guys can't handle mountain ash. So you're going to need to be extra careful with this douchewad. We don't know what kind of damage a vampire could do to one of you.

Yeah, he's a vampire. So far what I know is that he has no reflection in mirrors, he doesn't show up on cameras, and the mountain ash thing.

I knew there was something I didn't like at all about that guy. He just seemed so creepy. He reminded me of... [She trails off, shaking her head.]

Yeah. Yeah. [He nods and looks down for a moment. He didn't remind Stiles of the nogitsune. He does, however, remind him of another enemy: another werewolf. The one who turned Scott. The one who nearly killed Lydia.]

Be really careful if you run into him, okay?

[And the person Needy was reminded of? The creep who killed Jennifer. So, A-plus vibes for everyone off of Jerry, all around.]

I will. I might have tried to pick a fight with him, before. But right now I know it isn't worth it.

[Jerry is swell.]

Good. I mean that you're going to be careful. Not that you tried to pick a fight with him. [Because that is...probably not good. And if the vampire targets another one of his friends, Stiles is going to end up doing something drastic, probably.]

Oh, I didn't. He did sort of creeper at me in the hallways, but - I meant if he had showed up back when I was here a few months ago, I probably would have tried stabbing him in the eye just to prove a point.

Oh. Oh, okay. No, that's definitely good. And if he comes at you, stab him in the eye. Don't even hesitate. [He's not even kidding.]

I'll make sure I have my knife on me at all times.

[She says it lightly, but she can tell Stiles is serious. And Jerry clearly has a thing for teens, or at least the Beacon Hills gang so. Yeah taking no chances here.]

I hope something more permanent gets done about this guy soon though, if he's really that bad. He needs a warden to sit on his ass. Or a fucking muzzle.

[He wishes he wasn't. But there's no room for questioning here. Any reason Jerry would show up around Needy won't be a good one. She'll absolutely need any form of defense she can get her hands on. And considering how close she is with all of them from Beacon Hills...]

Oh a muzzle. Dammit, I should have requested that from the Admiral.

Do you think he'd really go for it? It sounds too easy.

Yeah probably not. But the mental image is kind of hilarious.

Fuck it - I say we keep that plan on the back burner. Just in case.

I never discard a good Plan B.
