[Stiles has already packed up a bag, and it's sitting on his bed. There are clothes, food, his laptop and some various other small things including a couple of books inside, and atop the bag is his pillow. It doesn't show in the video when he turns on the communicator. All you can see is that he's sitting at his desk.]

Like Anya said, no one goes after him. You wanna talk about it, you can come and take it up with me.

[And that's all he's saying, because he had to say something. He knows there's a possibility that someone -- or multiple someones -- may take him up on that. He'll deal with it if they do. He disconnects the feed. He doesn't send a message to the rest of his friends. Doesn't really feel like talking about it. He picks up his bag, his pillow, his bat -- because it's his warden's item -- and he drops the note he wrote on his bed.

Staying down in Zero. Stiles. The others will find it. The pack. They all have access to his room, their own keys.

He leaves the room, locking the door behind him.]

[Spam for Dean]

[There's a resigned feeling that's settled into his chest. He's terrible at being a warden. Probably since the beginning. No. Definitely sense the beginning. He is not his dad. He doesn't have his dad's tolerance and fairness and he doesn't have what it takes to do this kind of job, and he wonders why the admiral ever offered him a deal at all. He had to know Stiles would be shitty at it, right?

Regardless of how he feels about it, how he feels about himself, his duty is to Dean and he takes it seriously despite everything else. Right now everything else has to take a backseat to that. He makes his way down to Zero with his things in hand and looks around, taking note of the cell that's been decimated, bars cut away since Dean had locked himself in with Anya. He lets out a breath, purses his lips and slowly heads down the corridor until he stops in front of Dean's cell. He drops his bag and sets down the baseball bat.

Dean doesn't look that bad. Iris took care of that part. There's not much Stiles could have done because he's not a doctor and he doesn't do well with blood and injuries. His nose is bruised, and Dean doesn't even look up at him. For a long moment he just stares at him silently.]

Hey.

[Pack + Friends Filter -- Backdated to yesterday, before anyone discovers Isaac's gone]

[The camera reveals Stiles, looking more relaxed than he has in years, lounging on the massive bed in the hotel room he and Lydia are sharing.]

Okay so, Lydia and I talked and...I think we're gonna stay here for a few more days. So not to worry, we'll be back before you know it, but...

[He looks over to where she's standing a few feet away, and a soft smile touches his mouth.]

Just not quite ready to go back to reality yet. If you guys could kinda -- keep an eye out for Dean for me until I get back, I'd really appreciate it. Just, if he needs anything.

[Filter for Dean]

Hey. [His demeanor shifts a little when he starts the filter to Dean. Things have been pretty weird between them for the last few weeks, and he's hoping that'll be one of the things that changes when he comes back to the Barge.]

Just wanted you to know, Lydia and I are taking a few more days here in Paris, but we'll be back soon. Like, a week, tops.

[A short while after his conversation with Bucky, Stiles takes stock of all the coats, hats, gloves and scarves that are all over his floor thanks to The Admiral. It takes him an hour and a half to sort everything by size, then color, draping some of the piles on his bed, some on his desk, and some that have no other place to go but the floor. There's not much of a walkway, but it's big enough that kids can come in and get what they need.

After that's done, he drops down in his desk chair and turns on the camera, arching his eyebrows.]

[Public Video]

I've got coats, gloves, scarves and hats for everyone under sixteen that's found themselves wanting to play on the deck in the snow and doesn't have them. I'm in 712 if you need something.
voluntaryapnea: (vulnerable stare)
[He's still kind of reeling from the fact that he's been assigned to be Dean's warden. The file arrived at his door hours ago, and Stiles, who isn't by any means known for his ability to sit still for long, has been staring at it ever since. He hasn't touched it other than to lay it on his desk. He's chewed all of his nails down to the quick but he doesn't even realize it.

This isn't what he was expecting. He wonders if the Admiral has any idea what he's doing. It isn't the first time he's wondered that since his arrival almost six months ago. He draws in a breath and lets it out slowly, not taking his eyes off the file as he leans over and rests his elbows on his knees. He wonders why he was picked to be Dean's warden. Of all the people on the ship -- who are older, more qualified, many of whom had done the warden-ing thing already -- he can't help but second guess this decision.

He closes his eyes for a moment, then picks up his comm device, hesitating for a second. God he wishes his dad was there right then to give him some advice. But Stiles has always tried to follow his instincts, and that's what he does now.]

[Private to Babs]

So that security thing you were talking about awhile ago? I think I'm gonna need that.

[Private to Dean]

Hey.
voluntaryapnea: (a lost pack member)

So...thanks. For finding me and taking me to the infirmary during the breach.

[As usual, he wonders if his own death would have prevented that of someone else's. Allison's. It always seems to come down to that. But he knows that despite the death toll, his own death would also have taken its toll on his friends. He knows that if there's an ultimate choice at stake -- and there is, he'll always choose Allison's life over his own. But in this situation he hadn't known, couldn't have known, and Scorpius certainly didn't, so while the thanks is belated, it is also sincere.]

Hey. Thanks for...well, Scott said you gave me your own blood or I probably wouldn't have survived. That's pretty awesome doctor-ing, considering the limited amount of supplies and stuff.

She knows we're leaving stuff out. I told her no one really wanted to talk about my murder spree right now, but I don't know if... [He looks down, holds his breath for a moment. He doesn't know if she believes that's all there is. That alone is a lot. But Allison is smart, and she knows all of them so very well. He exhales.]

I'm starting to think maybe we should tell her. Before she winds up finding out some other way.

Hey. Any chance you'd wanna do a movie or video game thing soon?

Has anyone ever changed the specifics of their deal without leaving the Barge for awhile first? Is that something that's possible?

I know we haven't really talked but uh, I was wondering if that whole offer you made a few days ago about people talking to you...if that was still on the table. [A beat.]

Because I think that's probably something I should do.
voluntaryapnea: ((Lydia) panic attack)
[Around one in the morning, people on the seventh floor, and people on the Barge who have super hearing abilities might have been awakened to the sound of terrified, nightmare-induced screaming from Stiles' room.]

CW for violent nightmares, and a panic attack. )

[Open Spam]

[Later that day finds him still shaky and while he's much less visibly upset than he was when he arrived at Lydia's early that morning, he's still pale. There are dark circles under his eyes, though not as dark as the ones that Void had left behind after he'd been possessed. One can find him at the CES, running through a forest -- the Beacon Hills Preserve for those who are familiar with it. It is a concentrated effort on his part. He doesn't like running very much, but it feels like what he needs to do. Like if he stops it's only a matter of time before his nightmares catch up with him again. Like it's only a matter of time before Void takes over, even if Void is gone now.

It's never really over.]
